The BPT Tool Holder Division, branded as BPT, was established in 1986 as a joint venture between Kennametal, a US-based global tooling leader, and the Aditya Birla Group. This partnership made BPT the first tool holding manufacturing company in India.

BPT manufactures high-precision AT3 tool holders, collets, work holding systems, and production boosters, many of which are unique products manufactured in India, serving as strong import substitutes under the Make in India initiative.

The division supplies products to major domestic customers and exports to global markets including USA, Germany, APAC, and the Far East, including China, supporting high-precision machining industries worldwide.
